| From the editor: It was a stressful week since I was made aware of an editorial mistake in the last edition in 2004. I had to fire everyone! I wrote about some of my family and friends that make me proud. In the edition my editors removed the adjectives; "tall, debonair, and handsome", from one of my family members descriptions. All you know what broke loose. You would understand why if you knew the uncle I was talking about. (I think I look the most like him!) Other slightly important news - the "State of The Union" speech was delivered flawlessly, it had some extremely touching moments (Iraqi women and Marine Mom hug), and the debate begins on Social Security which is long overdue. I am disappointed in the cynicism around the "hug moment". It seems we have become so polarized that we can't even appreciate when true emotion is expressed at the spur of the moment. It has been a while since the last edition (sounds like a confession). It has been busy and wonderfully fulfilling at my other job - so even the few minutes it takes to get this out has been difficult to find. I am still writing the Blog as often as possible - so to all my democratic friends if you need an adrenalin boost - the heck with the coffee - click on my Blog!!! Thanks for your few minutes of support each week! If you missed the first 20 editions of SoundCheck (now "The Divot") don't fret.
