From the editor:

Is anyone sick of the "runaway bride" story that seems to have enveloped the airwaves of late? I am. Anyway. I had to fly to NY on business last week which gave me the opportunity to visit with my family. The visit was too short but it was very rejuvenating to see my parents, sisters, and one of my brothers face to face. Visits like this help you to realize how important family is and how technology will never replace the human factor. We had a great dinner, lots of political conversation, and a chance to catch up on neighborhood memories.

I hope everyone that lives close to their family appreciates it and takes advantage of it. I am flying to a close friends wedding in Memphis, and looking forward to seeing some college buddies face to face to catch up on our lives. We have also let time slip past without getting together face to face. Many of us stay in touch through e-mail and occasional phone conversations, but nothing replaces having a diner and drink with friends and family.

So if you have the opportunity this weekend, get together with friends and family for diner and a drink. You won't regret it!

Thanks for your few minutes of support each week!

The weeks most interesting

Lots of funnies from our viewers!

THE FEELING OF POWER!!!!!

I was getting ready for work when I looked out the window and saw the utility company starting to erect a pole in front of my house. they were going to position it directly in front of my picture window.

No way, absolutely no way was I going to permit this. I gulped down my last bit of coffee and went directly to the crew supervisor and told him in no uncertain terms that I was not going to permit his crew to put that stupid electrical pole directly in front of my picture window.

He took out a plat map, a map for pole locations and a right of way document and explained that it is the best location for it. I told him it is not the best location for me and when I came home from work that day I did not want to find that pole in front of my window.

I told him I didn't give a hoot where he put it but not in front of my window. I felt pretty smug as I drove off to work because I felt I got my point across. I know darn well they are afraid to put it there now....

Ah..... the feeling of power............at least until I got home!!!!!!!

Original music scene & not so original...

Absolutely the best picture EVER!

Hillary Clinton (D-NY) has already started her 2008 presidential campaign by aligning herself with the military and pretending to be tough on terror.  Fortunately, the ultra-liberal Hillary has yet to brainwash all of the voting public into believing that her symbolism is really substance.  Many have never forgotten that when she was co-president for eight years she was quoted as saying: " I loathe the military."
(read the message below the photo)

The picture shows that this soldier has been thru Survival School and learned his lessons well. He's giving the sign of "coercion" with his left hand. These hand signs are taught in survival school to be used by POW's as a method of posing messages back to our intelligence services who may view the photo or video. This guy was obviously being coerced into shaking hands with Hillary Clinton. It's ironic how little she knew that he would so inform us about the photo---perhaps because she's never understood our military to begin with.
